AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

 

C.S.H.B. 2462 amends current law relating to the authority of a county to clarify the existence of a public interest in certain roads.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.

 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1.  Amends Section 258.007, Transportation Code, as follows:

 

Sec. 258.007.  New heading:  APPLICATION OF CHAPTER.  Provides that this chapter applies only to a county that initiates or completes compliance with the provisions of this chapter before September 1, 2011, rather than providing that this chapter expires September 1, 2009.

 

SECTION 2.  Effective date:  upon passage or September 1, 2009.
