AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
Currently, Blanco, Burnet, Llano, and San Saba Counties are served by the two judges from the 33rd Judicial District and the 424th Judicial District. While these two judges share the workload of the region, current law provides that the judge with the most seniority serves as administrative judge.
C.S.S.B. 657 provides that the local administrative judge for Blanco, Burnet, Llano, and San Saba Counties is selected on the basis of rotation from the district judges of the 33rd Judicial District and the 424th Judicial District.
