A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the fee for issuance of specialty license plates to |
|
|
certain wounded peace officers and to the families of certain peace |
|
|
officers killed in the line of duty. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 504.407, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by amending Subsection (c) and adding Subsection (c-1) to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
(c) Except as provided by Subsection (c-1), the [The] fee |
|
|
for issuance of the license plates is $20. |
|
|
(c-1) The fee for issuance of a set of the license plates to |
|
|
a person described by Subsection (a)(2) is $3. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|
|
to a registration period beginning on or after the effective date of |
|
|
this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
