A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the regulation of massage establishments. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 455, Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 455.2021 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 455.2021. MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENT HOURS OF OPERATION. |
|
|
(a) A massage establishment may provide services only between the |
|
|
hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. |
|
|
(b) The entrance doors to a massage establishment must |
|
|
remain unlocked during business hours. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
