A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to a study of the feasibility of creating a job training
  program for certain individuals discharged from the Texas National
  Guard.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter F, Chapter 431, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 431.091 to read as follows:
         Sec. 431.091.  FEASIBILITY STUDY:  JOB TRAINING PROGRAM.
  The governor shall study the feasibility of establishing a job
  training program to enhance the employment opportunities of
  individuals who enlist in the Texas National Guard and begin the
  initial training program but who, for medical reasons, are unable
  to complete the initial training program.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
