A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a study of the feasibility of creating a job training |
|
|
program for certain individuals discharged from the Texas National |
|
|
Guard. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 431, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 431.091 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 431.091. FEASIBILITY STUDY: JOB TRAINING PROGRAM. |
|
|
The governor shall study the feasibility of establishing a job |
|
|
training program to enhance the employment opportunities of |
|
|
individuals who enlist in the Texas National Guard and begin the |
|
|
initial training program but who, for medical reasons, are unable |
|
|
to complete the initial training program. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
