A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the qualifications to conduct a social study in certain |
|
|
suits affecting the parent-child relationship. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 107.0511, Family Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) The minimum qualifications prescribed by this section |
|
|
do not apply to an individual who, before September 1, 2007: |
|
|
(1) had at least five years of experience as a social |
|
|
study evaluator; and |
|
|
(2) conducted at least 100 social studies. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
