A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the waiver of state park entrance fees for active or |
|
|
retired peace officers. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 13, Parks and Wildlife |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 13.0186 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 13.0186. PARK FEE WAIVER FOR PEACE OFFICERS. The |
|
|
department shall waive the state park entrance fee and vehicle |
|
|
entrance fee for any person who is an active or retired peace |
|
|
officer, as defined by Article 2.12, Code of Criminal Procedure, on |
|
|
presentation of an identification card that identifies the |
|
|
individual as an active or retired peace officer. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
