BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 662, Government Code, is | ||
amended by adding Section 662.154 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 662.154. TEXAS NATIVE PLANT WEEK. (a) The third full | ||
week in October is Texas Native Plant Week to celebrate the native | ||
plants of Texas. | ||
(b) Texas Native Plant Week may be regularly observed in | ||
public schools and other places with programs to appreciate, | ||
explore, and study Texas native plants. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. | ||
