A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the political activities of a person employed by a |
|
|
county elections administrator. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 31.039(f), Election Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
(f) A person employed on a full-time basis by the |
|
|
administrator's office is subject to Section 31.035 in the same |
|
|
manner as the administrator. [This subsection applies only to
|
|
|
counties with a population of one million or more that have an
|
|
|
election administrator.] |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
