A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to permits issued by the commission.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter 5, Health and Safety Code is amended
  by adding Section 382.0501 to read as follows:
         Sec. 382.0501.  GENERAL POLICY REGARDING PERMITTING.  The
  commission shall not issue any permit that does not conform with
  federal requirements and obligations under the Federal Clean Air
  Act.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
