A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to certain municipal requirements regarding sales of |
|
|
residential properties in certain areas. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 214.905(d), Local Government Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) This section does not apply to: |
|
|
(1) property that is part of an urban land bank |
|
|
program; or |
|
|
(2) a multifamily residential development of eight or |
|
|
more residential units intended for private sale and located less |
|
|
than one mile from a commuter rail station located in a municipality |
|
|
with a population of less than 1.1 million. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
