A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to penalties imposed on a holder of an alcoholic beverage |
|
|
license or permit on the basis of a criminal prosecution. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 11.641(c), Alcoholic Beverage Code, is |
|
|
repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The repeal of Section 11.641(c), Alcoholic |
|
|
Beverage Code, applies only to the imposition of a penalty for a |
|
|
violation that occurs on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
The imposition of a penalty for a violation that occurs before the |
|
|
effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect |
|
|
immediately before the effective date of this Act, and that law is |
|
|
continued in effect for that purpose. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
