A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the use of money from the Texas Enterprise Fund to
  recruit and retain automotive manufacturing facilities.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 481.078, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (e-2) to read as follows:
         (e-2)  Notwithstanding Subsection (e-1), a municipality is
  eligible to receive a grant under this section for the purpose of
  recruiting or retaining an automotive manufacturing facility. A
  particular municipality may not receive more than $50 million in
  grants under this subsection in a state fiscal year.  A municipality
  may apply for a grant under this section in the same manner as a
  business entity.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
