A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the issuance of specialized license plates for |
|
|
municipal officials. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 504.4011 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 504.4011. MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS. (a) The department |
|
|
shall issue specially designed license plates for a passenger car |
|
|
or light truck owned by a person who is a member of the governing |
|
|
body of a municipality. |
|
|
(b) License plates issued under this section must include |
|
|
the words "City Official." |
|
|
(c) A person may be issued three sets of license plates |
|
|
under this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
