A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
relating to state agency information available on the Internet. |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
SECTION 1. Section 2054.126(d), Government Code, is amended |
|
by amending Subdivision (6) to read as follows: |
|
(d) Each state agency, other than an institution of higher |
|
education, that receives an aggregate amount of appropriations in |
|
the General Appropriations Act for a state fiscal biennium that |
|
exceeds $175 million shall post the following information during |
|
the biennium on a generally accessible Internet site maintained by |
|
or for the agency: |
|
(6) an electronic link on the agency Internet site's |
|
home page to: |
|
(A) the provisions of the Texas Constitution as |
|
published in the electronic version of the constitution hosted by |
|
the Texas Legislative Council that authorize, govern, control, or |
|
mention the agency or an agency program or project. |
|
(B) the provisions of statutes as published in |
|
the electronic version of state laws hosted by the Texas |
|
Legislative Council that authorize, govern, control, or mention the |
|
agency or an agency program or project. |
|
(C) the agency's rules as published in the |
|
electronic version of the Texas Administrative Code and an |
|
electronic link to any written procedure of the agency relating to |
|
agency hearings that is not contained in the electronic version of |
|
the Texas Administrative Code. |
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
