A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of a county clerk to electronically send |
|
certain financial statement forms. |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
SECTION 1. Section 159.005(b), Local Government Code, is |
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
(b) The county clerk shall mail or, at the request of the |
|
person required to file under this subchapter send by electronic |
|
mail, two copies of the form to each person required to file under |
|
this subchapter within the time prescribed by Section 572.030(c), |
|
Government Code. |
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
