A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to certain grants provided under the In-Home and Family |
|
|
Support Services Program. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 161, Human Resources Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 161.084 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 161.084. IN-HOME AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES PROGRAM |
|
|
GRANTS. A direct grant provided by the department under the In-Home |
|
|
and Family Support Services Program to a person with a physical |
|
|
disability or the person's family for the purchase of special |
|
|
equipment, supplies, or services or for the modification of the |
|
|
person's home or motor vehicle to enable the person to live in the |
|
|
community must be in the amount of $2,000 annually. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
