A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to the funding of the statewide wildfire protection plan
  at the Texas Forest Service.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 614.104, Government Code, is amended by
  amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (c) to read as
  follows:
         (b)  Except as provided by Subsection (c), money [Money] in
  the fund may be used only for a purpose under this subchapter.
         (c)  The service may expend an amount not to exceed $5
  million each year from the fund for staffing and operating costs
  associated with the preparation and delivery of the service's
  statewide wildfire protection plan.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
