A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to state prisoners in a county jail. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 351, Local Government Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 351.005 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 351.005. STATE PRISONERS. A prisoner who is awaiting |
|
|
transfer to the Texas Department of Criminal |
|
|
Justice - Institutional Division shall not be included in any |
|
|
determination concerning compliance with this Subchapter or the |
|
|
rules of the Commission on Jail Standards. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
