| WHEREAS, Section 17, Article III, Texas Constitution, | ||
| provides that neither chamber of the legislature may adjourn for | ||
| more than three days without the consent of the other chamber; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas | ||
| hereby grant each chamber permission to adjourn for more than three | ||
| days during the period beginning on Friday, January 16, 2009, and | ||
| ending on Monday, January 26, 2009. | ||
