CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, IH-610 in Houston, commonly known as Loop 610, runs |
more than 38 miles around the central part of the city and provides |
an essential transportation artery for commuters; and |
WHEREAS, The southern section of the freeway, or the South |
Loop, runs east and west and was once well-known as the site of the |
Astrodome and AstroWorld; today, the South Loop is home to Reliant |
Park and a variety of businesses, and numerous residents who live |
nearby rely on the South Loop for their daily transportation needs; |

thoroughfare in the area, passing under the South Loop just east of |
the South Loop-Texas 288 interchange; the westbound lanes of the |

hereby direct the Texas Department of Transportation to construct |
