HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The passing of Pamelia Ann Blackburn Urbano of |
|
|
Paris, Texas, on January 9, 2009, at the age of 71, has deeply |
|
|
saddened all those who were fortunate enough to know her; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born on August 23, 1937, to Marshall and Ruby Miller |
|
|
Blackburn, Pam Blackburn graduated from Paris High School and Paris |
|
|
Junior College; she went on to establish a notable career with First |
|
|
Federal Community Bank, where she was employed for 43 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Urbano served as president of the Paris |
|
|
Business and Professional Women's Club and received that |
|
|
organization's Woman of the Year honor, and she further contributed |
|
|
to her community as a congregant of the Lamar Avenue Church of |
|
|
Christ; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Pam Urbano lived a life that was rich in family, |
|
|
friends, and meaningful achievements, and she will forever hold a |
|
|
treasured place in the hearts of her loved ones; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
|
hereby pay tribute to the life of Pamelia Ann Blackburn Urbano and |
|
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her son, |
|
|
John Miller Urbano, and his wife, Debbye; to her granddaughters, |
|
|
Kellye Anne Urbano and Rachele Nicole Urbano Estes and her husband, |
|
|
Steven; to her great-grandsons, Wesley and Ethan Estes; to her |
|
|
brother, John Marshall Blackburn, and his wife, Ellen; to her |
|
|
nieces, Karen Blackburn and Tracy Whitlock; to her special friend, |
|
|
Albygail Clarke; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of |
|
|
Pamelia Ann Blackburn Urbano. |
