H.C.R. No. 97
 
 
 
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, German exchange student Carolin Bosche is visiting
  the State Capitol on March 16 and 17, 2009, and her visit helps to
  reinforce the long-standing bonds of friendship between her nation
  and the State of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Just as young Texans benefit by spending time
  abroad, foreign students gain valuable insights into the history
  and culture of the Lone Star State by enjoying the hospitality of
  their host families and their Texan classmates; and
         WHEREAS, The bridges of understanding that are built during
  these exchanges play a vital role in helping the next generation of
  leaders broaden their minds through daily experience of another
  culture; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Jurgen and Dorothee Bosche of Lohne,
  Germany, Carolin Bosche is 17 years old; she is spending a year in
  Lubbock with the family of Kevin and Elaine Glasheen while she
  attends Lubbock High School as a junior; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Bosche's visit to Austin provides a fine
  opportunity to celebrate the intellectual curiosity and spirit of
  adventure of all exchange students, and it is indeed a pleasure to
  welcome her to the Texas State Capitol; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby offer a warm Texas welcome to Carolin Bosche and extend to
  her sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and memorable stay in
  Austin; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Bosche as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives and Senate.
