CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Danise |
|
|
Blalock of Mount Pleasant, who passed away on February 10, 2009, at |
|
|
the age of 48; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Danise Blalock was born in Titus County on December |
|
|
4, 1960, to Dan and Mary Lou Stringer Hicks; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She worked for Pilgrim's Pride Corporation, where |
|
|
she distinguished herself in the purchasing department; the mother |
|
|
of two daughters, Mrs. Blalock was a valued member of Hillcrest |
|
|
Baptist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although her life ended far too soon, Danise Blalock |
|
|
will forever be remembered with great tenderness and affection by |
|
|
all who knew and loved her; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
|
hereby pay tribute to the life of Danise Blalock and extend sincere |
|
|
condolences to the members of her family: to her daughters, |
|
|
Sherilyn Strawn and Shandra Williams and her husband, Floyd; to her |
|
|
grandchildren, Austin and Trenton Strawn; to her brother, Stacy |
|
|
Hicks, and his wife, Shelli; to her sister, Linda Dunn, and her |
|
|
husband, Danny; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate and House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourn this day, they do so in memory of Danise |
|
|
Blalock. |
