HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of William |
|
C. "Dub" Hill, Jr., who passed away on March 7, 2009, at the age of |
|
81; and |
|
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of the Fort Worth area, Dub Hill |
|
worked for Lone Star Gas Company for 39 years until his retirement |
|
in 1990; he was a member of the Masonic Lodge, an active Special |
|
Olympics volunteer, and a member of Springdale Baptist Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hill and his wife, Nancy, shared 57 years of |
|
marriage; the couple became the parents of three children, Sherri, |
|
Lisa, and the late William Keith Hill, and welcomed four |
|
grandchildren into their family; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dub Hill lived a devoted and purposeful life; he |
|
leaves behind a wealth of fond memories to be treasured by all those |
|
who held him dear, and he will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
hereby pay tribute to the life of William C. "Dub" Hill, Jr., and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
Nancy Hill; to his daughters, Lisa Hill and Sherri Germann and her |
|
husband, Dan; to his grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Melanie, and |
|
Heather; to his siblings, Rayburn Hill, Mozelle Abshire, Laverne |
|
Guilliams, and Bettie Rhodes; and to his other relatives and many |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of |
|
William C. "Dub" Hill, Jr. |
