HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Charles
  R. Grimes of Paris, Texas, who passed away on May 5, 2009, at the age
  of 78; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime businessman and a typewriter mechanic by
  trade, Mr. Grimes was a member of First Baptist Church and a
  participant in its Sunday school class; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Grimes married the former Ruth Joan Rhoades in
  1950, and together the couple raised three children, Richard, Pam,
  and Sharon; after his wife's passing in 1968, Mr. Grimes had the
  good fortune to find love a second time and in 1970 was joined in
  matrimony to the former Joan Bishop; and
         WHEREAS, Charles Grimes lived a full and purposeful life that
  was enriched by his family and his faith, and he will be deeply
  missed by all those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby pay tribute to the memory of Charles R. Grimes and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Joan
  Bishop Grimes; to his children, Richard Grimes and his wife, Connie
  Chamberlin, Pam Tribble and her husband, Ron, and Sharon Bell and
  her husband, Bruce; to his grandsons, Michael Tribble and his wife,
  Sarah, Larry Kyle Tribble and his wife, Renae, and Joshua Tribble;
  to his great-grandson, Gavin Tribble; to his sister, Jean
  Pendleton; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
  Charles Grimes.
