CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of LuLane
  Caraway of Paris, who passed away on May 22, 2009, at the age of 66;
  and
         WHEREAS, Born on October 6, 1942, to Harless and Alene
  Cameron Caraway in McKinney, LuLane Caraway attended Farmersville
  schools and went on to earn an undergraduate degree and a master's
  degree in library science from North Texas State University; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Caraway was employed at Paris Junior College and
  retired as the director of library services; she was a devoted and
  active member of the congregation at Calvary United Methodist
  Church and contributed her time and energy to support the
  Democratic Party, attending local, state, and national
  conventions; and
         WHEREAS, LuLane Caraway led a life filled with rewarding
  experiences and meaningful fellowship, and she will be deeply
  missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby pay tribute to the life of LuLane Caraway and extend sincere
  sympathy to the members of her family: to her nephew, Thomas G.
  Caraway II; to her niece, Dorian Sparks; to her great-nephews,
  Justin and Joshua Sparks; to her great-aunts, Frances Stubbs and
  Verna Wilson; to her sister-in-law, Linda Huff, and to her other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
  LuLane Caraway.
