R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close when Leona
  Marie Brock of Kerrville died on October 4, 2007, at the age of 72;
  and
         WHEREAS, Born in Crosbyton on November 21, 1934, to W. R. and
  Leona Easter Dunlap, Leona Marie Dunlap graduated with the Class of
  1952 from Ralls High School, where she was named to the All-District
  girls' basketball team; and
         WHEREAS, She married Harold Brock on December 18, 1953, at a
  ceremony held at the First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton,
  and the couple shared many happy times until Mr. Brock's passing in
  2006; over the course of their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Brock farmed
  and ranched together in Lockney, owned and operated a cattle
  feedlot, and a swine operation, and managed ranches in Kerr and
  Mitchell Counties; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Brock served as secretary of the First United
  Methodist Church of Lockney and later belonged to the Kerrville
  First United Methodist Church, where she sang with the choir; she
  was a member of the Texas Farm Bureau and the Republican Women of
  Kerr County and a former candidate for county commissioner; and
         WHEREAS, Leona Brock touched the lives of countless people
  during her years on this earth, and she will forever hold a
  treasured place in the hearts of her family and friends; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the memory of Leona Marie Brock and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her children,
  Richard Harold Brock and his wife, Anne, and Leona Carol Brock
  Norfleet; to her grandchildren, William Richard Brock, Elizabeth
  Anne Brock, Catherine Marie Brock, and Jamie Carol Norfleet; to her
  brothers, Roy Dunlap and his wife, Riley, and Frank Dunlap and his
  wife, Lila; to her sister, Willie Ruth Butler; and to her other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Leona Marie
  Brock.
