R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close when Mary
  Finch Ridout of Austin died on October 21, 2007, at the age of 85;
  and
         WHEREAS, Born in the Capital City on April 12, 1922, to
  Herbert H. Finch and Anne Townes Finch, Mary Finch graduated Phi
  Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin, where she was a
  member of Pi Beta Phi sorority; and
         WHEREAS, She married R. G. Ridout and with him shared many
  happy times during the course of their 46 years together, which
  ended with Mr. Ridout's passing in 1992; the devoted mother of three
  sons, Mrs. Ridout also delighted in spending time in the company of
  her three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her life, Mrs. Ridout was a congregant of
  St. David's Episcopal Church; moreover, she participated in
  activities of the Junior League of Austin and the Colonial Dames of
  America; and
         WHEREAS, This kind and gracious woman lived a rewarding life
  that was centered around her family and friends, and she will
  forever hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the memory of Mary Finch Ridout and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of her family:  to her children, Dr.
  Robert G. Ridout III and his wife, Ginger, Howell F. Ridout and his
  wife, Debbie, and John T. Ridout; to her grandchildren, Steve
  Ridout and his wife, Paige, Lauren Ramirez and her husband,
  Jonathan, and Sarah Ridout; to her great-grandchildren, Steven,
  John, and Elodie Ridout; and to her other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Finch
  Ridout.
