R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The passing of Shirley-Mae Jane King of Ingram on
  April 7, 2008, at the age of 74, has deeply saddened all those who
  were fortunate enough to know her; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Deshler, Nebraska, to Dahl and Leona
  Thompson, Mrs. King grew up in Nebraska and Kansas; while living in
  Wichita, Kansas, she met William Jefferson "Jeff" King, and the two
  were married in 1951; the couple shared many happy times through the
  years and together welcomed three children and four grandchildren
  into their family; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. King helped provide for her loved ones through
  her employment with Beech Aircraft, where she worked for 35 years;
  throughout her life, she enjoyed listening to sacred music as well
  as studying scripture and teaching others about its meaning; and
         WHEREAS, A resident of Ingram since 1992, this kind and
  gracious woman lived a life that was centered around her family and
  friends, and she will forever hold a treasured place in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Shirley-Mae Jane King
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Jeff King; to her children, Valorie Qualey, Julene Gomez,
  and Bradley King; to her grandchildren, Matthew and Angela Qualey,
  Meryl King, and Bradley King II; to her brothers, Stanley and Larry
  Thompson; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
  Shirley-Mae Jane King.
