R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Elvina Caroline Petrosky Thompson celebrated her |
|
|
91st birthday on October 7, 2008, marking a very special day in the |
|
|
life of this esteemed Texan; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The former Elvina Petrosky was born in Alief to |
|
|
Austrian immigrants Stanlislaus and Theresia Petrosky; in her youth |
|
|
she was an outstanding student who graduated from the local high |
|
|
school at the top of her class; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The wife of Daniel Glenn Thompson, she is the mother |
|
|
of three children, Elvina Carolyn Thompson Boyce, Bennie Stanley |
|
|
Thompson, and the late Daniel Glenn Thompson, Jr.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Today, Mrs. Thompson enjoys the love and affection |
|
|
of grandchildren Leighnea Thompson Phillips, Michelle Thompson |
|
|
Talley, Patrick Boyce, MaryBeth Boyce Meeks, Stephanie Caroline |
|
|
Thompson Tibbetts, Rodney Thompson, and Scott Thompson and memories |
|
|
of her granddaughter, the late Sherri Thompson; she has further |
|
|
been blessed with great-grandchildren Sherry Phillips, Stacy |
|
|
Phillips, Beau Talley, Brittany Talley, Ashley Boyce, Brooklyn |
|
|
Boyce, Autumn Meeks, Hunter Meeks, Barrett Meeks, Sloane Meeks, |
|
|
Brendan Tibbetts, Austin Tibbetts, Caroline Tibbetts, Kendall |
|
|
Thompson, Mallory Thompson, and Ella Thompson; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Elvina Thompson may indeed reflect with joy on her |
|
|
years on this earth, and it is truly a pleasure to honor her for 91 |
|
|
years of life well lived; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Elvina Caroline Petrosky Thompson |
|
|
on her 91st birthday and extend to her heartfelt best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Thompson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
