R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The retirement of a committed public servant is well |
|
deserving of recognition; and |
|
WHEREAS, A dedicated and broad-visioned individual, Mr. |
|
Joseph Paniagua has shaped the course of public safety and public |
|
events in the city of Fort Worth for over 22 years in many |
|
capacities, most recently as first assistant city manager; and |
|
WHEREAS, Because of his leadership, the success of such |
|
important projects as the expansion of the City Convention Center, |
|
construction of a new convention center hotel, the development of |
|
new traffic divisions and fire stations, and the Rosedale District |
|
were successful; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Paniagua's diplomacy and talent for navigating |
|
the waters of state and federal programs are assets that will be |
|
sorely missed; and |
|
WHEREAS, Joe, a native Texan, and his wife, Elsa, have two |
|
children, Jose Francisco and Elissa; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby warmly congratulate Joe Paniagua on the occasion |
|
of his retirement, thank him for his dedicated service, and extend |
|
to him best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Paniagua as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
