R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Austin Browning of Scurry played a crucial role in |
|
saving the lives of at least four Texans; and |
|
WHEREAS, On July 18, 2007, Austin was at the scene of a |
|
terrible accident involving his younger brother, Hunter; the two |
|
boys were out on their family's ranch when the incident occurred, |
|
and Austin ran for a mile to get help; although Hunter passed away |
|
the following day, Austin's quick and decisive actions made it |
|
possible for several individuals in need to receive the gift of life |
|
through organ donation; and |
|
WHEREAS, More than 7,000 Texans are currently awaiting organ |
|
donations, and this number continues to grow daily; through his |
|
swift response on that tragic day, Austin Browning ensured that a |
|
number of people were provided the chance for renewed health and a |
|
brighter future; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Austin Browning for his heroism; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Austin Browning as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
