R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The passing of Joel Howard Ihms of Dallas on January |
|
25, 2009, at the age of 30, has deeply saddened all those who were |
|
fortunate enough to know him; and |
|
WHEREAS, A lifelong Texan, Joel Howard Ihms graduated from |
|
Highland Park High School in Dallas in 1996 and is warmly remembered |
|
by his fellow classmates and teachers; and |
|
WHEREAS, Joel Howard Ihms was gifted with a remarkable |
|
singing voice and used his ability to bring joy to all who knew him; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Joel Howard Ihms was, at the time of his joining, the |
|
youngest-ever member of the Turtle Creek Chorale, the |
|
world-renowned, Dallas-based men's choir that has brought |
|
recognition and honor to Texas through performances around the |
|
world; and |
|
WHEREAS, Joel Howard Ihms enriched the lives of all who knew |
|
him with his kindness, humor, generosity, and selfless spirit and |
|
will forever hold a treasured place in the hearts of his family and |
|
friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Joel Howard Ihms and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family and his many |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Joel Howard |
|
Ihms. |
