R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The employees of the Community Supervision and
  Corrections Department in Collin County make vital contributions to
  public safety through their important work; and
         WHEREAS, In Collin County alone, the 107 probation officers,
  caseworkers, and staff members in the department directly oversee
  more than 5,000 people serving probation from felony and
  misdemeanor courts; and
         WHEREAS, Often silent partners, these dedicated public
  servants make visits to the homes of probationers and parolees and
  serve as problem solvers, crime prevention specialists,
  motivators, educators, facilitators, and more; and
         WHEREAS, An essential part of the justice system, community
  corrections professionals work to promote prevention,
  intervention, and advocacy, and their notable efforts benefit
  victims, offenders, and the greater community; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the probation, parole, and community
  supervision employees of Collin County for their outstanding work
  and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Collin County Community Supervision and
  Corrections Department as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
