R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Daniel Travis Salisbury of Boy Scouts of America |
|
|
Troop No. 491 in Montgomery has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, |
|
|
and this accomplishment is being duly recognized at a Court of Honor |
|
|
on February 7, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
|
criteria, Mr. Salisbury earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |
|
|
completed an Eagle Scout project of lasting benefit to his |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Michael and Lilia Salisbury, this fine |
|
|
young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability |
|
|
throughout his scouting career, earning the respect and admiration |
|
|
of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that |
|
|
scouting offers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Salisbury's dedication to excellence |
|
|
and perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|
|
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|
|
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Daniel Travis Salisbury on |
|
|
achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Salisbury as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
