R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, J. L. and Sheila Rushing of Indian |
|
Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 19, 2008; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rushing were united in matrimony at |
|
Central Baptist Church in Crandall in 1958; through the years, they |
|
have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer |
|
with the addition of their children, Jim Rushing and his wife, Jana, |
|
Marianne Tabor and her husband, Jimmy, and Carol Thompson and her |
|
husband, Rex, grandchildren, Jace and Phylesha Tabor, Kadie Tabor, |
|
Lyndsie Thompson, Cooper Thompson, and Jenna Rushing, and |
|
great-grandchild, Payton Tabor; and |
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate J. L. and Sheila Rushing on the |
|
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rushing as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
