R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, J. L. and Sheila Rushing of Indian
  Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 19, 2008;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rushing were united in matrimony at
  Central Baptist Church in Crandall in 1958; through the years, they
  have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer
  with the addition of their children, Jim Rushing and his wife, Jana,
  Marianne Tabor and her husband, Jimmy, and Carol Thompson and her
  husband, Rex, grandchildren, Jace and Phylesha Tabor, Kadie Tabor,
  Lyndsie Thompson, Cooper Thompson, and Jenna Rushing, and
  great-grandchild, Payton Tabor; and
         WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
  five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
  in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
  has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
  grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate J. L. and Sheila Rushing on the
  occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rushing as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
