R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Citizens of Nueces County are celebrating Marriage |
|
|
Week from February 9 to 14, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This noteworthy event provides an opportunity for |
|
|
area Texans to acknowledge the importance of healthy marriages to |
|
|
the strength and well-being of families, communities, and this |
|
|
state; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 2009 observance of Marriage Week will begin with |
|
|
a celebration in which married couples demonstrate their affection |
|
|
and loyalty for one another by renewing their vows; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Marriage Week in Nueces County offers citizens a |
|
|
fitting occasion to appreciate the benefits of marriage and to |
|
|
acknowledge the importance of healthy marriages to society; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize February 9 to 14, 2009, as Marriage |
|
|
Week in Nueces County and extend to all participants sincere best |
|
|
wishes for a memorable event. |
