R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Melvin and Glynda Glenn celebrated |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary in 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn were united in matrimony on |
|
|
December 29, 1958; through the years, they have nurtured a |
|
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of three sons, Calvin Glenn and his wife, Gail, Kyle Glenn, |
|
|
and Coby Glenn and his wife, Catrina; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The couple have further been blessed with eight |
|
|
grandchildren, Joshua, Tristan, Sean, Kortney, Nicole, Cole, Troy, |
|
|
and Claire Ella; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Melvin and Glynda Glenn on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Glenn as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
