R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, James McKee Lyon and Carolyn Jean Lyon of San |
|
|
Antonio celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on July 14, 2008, |
|
|
and they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship |
|
|
they have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lyon exchanged the vows of matrimony at |
|
|
Tinker Air Force Base Chapel in Oklahoma on that special day in |
|
|
1968, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in one |
|
|
another a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This devoted couple count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lori |
|
|
Smith and her husband, Darrin, Jayme Patrick and her husband, |
|
|
Michael, and Jennifer Neuman, as well as four grandchildren, |
|
|
Madeline, Garrett, Audrey, and Aidan; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Both Mr. and Mrs. Lyon are employed at Lackland Air |
|
|
Force Base; for 32 years, Mr. Lyon served his nation as a member of |
|
|
the U.S. Air Force, and he retired from active duty in 1998; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past four decades, Jim and |
|
|
Carolyn Lyon can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Carolyn Lyon on the |
|
|
occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lyon as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
