R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
honor Dr. Audrey Jones of Alamo for her service as Physician of the |
|
Day on February 26, 2009; and |
|
WHEREAS, Each day of a regular or special session of the |
|
legislature, a volunteer physician is on call at the Capitol First |
|
Aid Station to provide medical assistance should it be needed; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Jones is a graduate of the Texas College of |
|
Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health |
|
Science Center; she is certified by the American Board of Family |
|
Practice and the American Board of Forensic Examiners and practices |
|
at the Alamo Neighborhood Doctor clinic; and |
|
WHEREAS, A member of several professional organizations, Dr. |
|
Jones serves on the board of the Texas Osteopathic Medical |
|
Association; this civic-minded Texan also serves as president of |
|
the Boys and Girls Club of Alamo--San Juan; and |
|
WHEREAS, Audrey Jones has volunteered to serve as Physician |
|
of the Day despite the demands of a busy schedule, and we welcome |
|
her to the State Capitol with gratitude; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby recognize Dr. Audrey Jones for her contributions |
|
to the medical profession and commend her for her generous service |
|
to the Texas Legislature as Physician of the Day; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Dr. Jones as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
