R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, BEST Leadership is celebrating its fifth |
|
|
anniversary in 2009, and this occasion provides a fitting |
|
|
opportunity to honor this notable organization; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Bastrop, Elgin, and Smithville |
|
|
Chambers of Commerce, BEST Leadership provides opportunities for |
|
|
participants to increase their knowledge of vital public issues and |
|
|
to meet with the leaders who are making decisions that affect their |
|
|
communities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sessions throughout the yearlong program are |
|
|
designed to acquaint participants with local issues and to |
|
|
encourage them to become vigorous, skilled, and effective leaders |
|
|
who will contribute to the future growth and direction of their |
|
|
communities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Endeavoring to foster a more informed and involved |
|
|
citizenry, BEST Leadership is helping to build a brighter and more |
|
|
promising future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor BEST Leadership on the fifth anniversary |
|
|
of its founding and extend to all participants sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for BEST Leadership as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
