R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends mourn the loss of Stanley Alvin |
|
|
Fleming of Elm Mott, who died on November 12, 2008, at the age of 68; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Stanley Fleming was born in Waco on October 18, |
|
|
1940, to John Oliver and Della Klawitter Fleming; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, he served in |
|
|
the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In 1960, Mr. Fleming was joined in marriage to |
|
|
Frances Posey, and together they were blessed with two children; |
|
|
the couple later welcomed a grandson into their family; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Fleming worked in retail sales for Borden Milk |
|
|
for 20 years and for Mrs. Baird's Bakeries for 21 years; he was also |
|
|
a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although he is no longer with us, the memory of this |
|
|
husband, father, and friend will continue to live on in the hearts |
|
|
of all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Stanley Alvin Fleming |
|
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
|
wife, Frances Fleming; to his daughter, Rhonda Schmidt, and her |
|
|
husband, Thomas; to his son, Stanley Alvin Fleming, Jr.; to his |
|
|
grandson, Jonathan Reyes; and to his other relatives and friends; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in honor of Stanley |
|
|
Fleming. |
