R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Lou Jean
  Doak of Waco, who passed away on January 16, 2009, at the age of 84;
  and
WHEREAS, Born on February 7, 1924, Lou Jean Doak was a native
of Valparaiso, Indiana; she went on to attend college and study
business, and she met Steve Doak in 1944; after Mr. Doak's

WHEREAS, Mrs. Doak worked as a Realtor in Indiana, and she
also shared her shorthand talents as a secretary for a variety of

Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, and Texas; known for her
bright smile, Mrs. Doak delighted in the company of these
acquaintances, with whom she enjoyed rounds of golf and shopping
trips; she was also an active member of the Waco First United
Methodist Church, and she loved her Sunday school class; and
WHEREAS, Lou Jean Doak enhanced the lives of many with her
vibrant personality and her caring nature, and her memory will
forever be treasured in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough
to know her; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas

  be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
