R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Minority Business Enterprise Institute for |
|
|
Public Policy and the DFW Minority Business Council are sponsoring |
|
|
the Statewide Minority Business Enterprise Public Policy Day at the |
|
|
State Capitol on February 23, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Attendees of this year's event include minority |
|
|
business councils, chambers of commerce, and business leaders from |
|
|
across the state; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During their visit to the Capitol, members of the |
|
|
group will meet with many of the state's elected officials to |
|
|
discuss relevant public policy issues and to promote economic |
|
|
inclusion of the minority business sector; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Minority business enterprises contribute greatly to |
|
|
the cultural and economic vitality and strength of this state, and |
|
|
their efforts are to be encouraged and commended; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize February 23, 2009, as Statewide |
|
|
Minority Business Enterprise Public Policy Day at the State Capitol |
|
|
and extend sincere best wishes to members of the organization for an |
|
|
informative and productive event. |
