R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to an end with the
  passing of Herminia Galindo of Del Rio on September 12, 2007, at the
  age of 76; and
         WHEREAS, The former Herminia Rizo was born to Manuel and
  Margarita Rizo on February 14, 1931, in Del Rio; she married her
  childhood sweetheart, Conrado Galindo, Jr., in 1945, and the couple
  had the pleasure of welcoming 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 14
  great-grandchildren into the family during their 62 years together;
  and
         WHEREAS, Known to her friends as Minnie, Mrs. Galindo loved
  shopping and traveling with her family, and she delighted in
  entertaining her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sharing
  with them her stories and wisdom; she was also a talented and
  prolific chef, and her dishes brought satisfied smiles to the faces
  of anyone fortunate enough to attend a gathering at the Galindo
  household; and
         WHEREAS, Minnie Galindo was a compassionate individual who
  stayed by her husband's side day and night when he required her
  assistance and remained constant in that service for 11 years; this
  was but one example of the loving care she provided to her family
  through the decades, and she will forever be remembered with great
  affection by her wide circle of loved ones; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED,  That the House of Representatives of the 81st
  Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Herminia
  Galindo and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to
  her children, Conrado Galindo III and his wife, Joanne, Richard
  Galindo and his wife, Marta, and Manuel Galindo and his wife,
  Margaret; to her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; to
  her brothers-in-law, Arturo Ramirez, Sr., and Melchor Galindo and
  his wife, Gloria; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Herminia
  Galindo.
