R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and Merle and Kay Watson of Caddo Mills |
|
|
celebrated this joyous milestone in their lives on January 25, |
|
|
2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Watson were joined in matrimony in 1959 |
|
|
at a ceremony held in Caddo Mills; through the years, they have |
|
|
nurtured a fulfilling marriage, and today they take great pride in |
|
|
their two daughters and sons-in-law, Tia and G. T. Parsons and Sandy |
|
|
and Gerald Cotton, as well as their three grandchildren and their |
|
|
great-grandchild; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife |
|
|
have remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Merle and Kay Watson on the |
|
|
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Watson as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
