R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Rolling Plains Communities |
|
Partnership are visiting Austin on March 3, 2009, to celebrate |
|
Rolling Plains Day at the State Capitol; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Rolling Plains of North Central Texas is 30 |
|
million acres of one of the prime agricultural regions of the Lone |
|
Star State and is home to many of the state's fine ranchers and |
|
farmers; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Rolling Plains Communities Partnership, which |
|
includes the counties of Briscoe, Childress, Collingsworth, |
|
Cottle, Donley, Foard, Hall, Hardeman, Motley, and Wheeler, is |
|
working to bring rural communities together to promote economic |
|
development; and |
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Rolling Plains Communities |
|
Partnership are playing a vital role in the well-being of their |
|
unique region of the Lone Star State, and this exemplary |
|
organization is indeed deserving of special recognition; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby recognize March 3, 2009, as Rolling Plains Day |
|
at the State Capitol and extend to the members of the Rolling Plains |
|
Communities Partnership sincere best wishes for a meaningful and |
|
memorable visit to Austin. |
