R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the Rolling Plains Communities
  Partnership are visiting Austin on March 3, 2009, to celebrate
  Rolling Plains Day at the State Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, The Rolling Plains of North Central Texas is 30
  million acres of one of the prime agricultural regions of the Lone
  Star State and is home to many of the state's fine ranchers and
  farmers; and
         WHEREAS, The Rolling Plains Communities Partnership, which
  includes the counties of Briscoe, Childress, Collingsworth,
  Cottle, Donley, Foard, Hall, Hardeman, Motley, and Wheeler, is
  working to bring rural communities together to promote economic
  development; and
         WHEREAS, The members of the Rolling Plains Communities
  Partnership are playing a vital role in the well-being of their
  unique region of the Lone Star State, and this exemplary
  organization is indeed deserving of special recognition; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize March 3, 2009, as Rolling Plains Day
  at the State Capitol and extend to the members of the Rolling Plains
  Communities Partnership sincere best wishes for a meaningful and
  memorable visit to Austin.
