R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Adriano M. Gonzalez has been selected as a recipient
  of the Texas Exes Award for Outstanding Teachers, becoming one of
  only 12 instructors in the Lone Star State to receive this honor in
  2009; and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by The University of Texas at Austin
  alumni association, the Texas Exes Award for Outstanding Teachers
  dates to 1987 and honors educators who inspire and support their
  students, bring credit to the teaching profession, and are highly
  respected by their colleagues and their community; by highlighting
  the achievements of these individuals, Texas Exes increases public
  awareness of the many contributions that teachers make to society;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Gonzalez, a teacher at Business Careers High
  School in San Antonio, was presented the Glaxo Award for
  Outstanding Teaching; throughout his career, he has motivated his
  students to excel through his exceptional instruction and
  encouragement; and
         WHEREAS, Exemplifying educational excellence, Mr. Gonzalez
  has positively influenced both students and teachers with his
  dedication, knowledge, and inspiring presence in the classroom, and
  his myriad achievements make him a deserving recipient of this
  prestigious commendation; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Adriano M. Gonzalez on earning a
  2009 Texas Exes Award for Outstanding Teachers and extend to him
  best wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
