R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
|
welcome the registered nurses and licensed vocational nurses who |
|
|
are visiting as part of Nurse Day at the State Capitol on March 3, |
|
|
2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 162,000 registered nurses and 67,000 licensed |
|
|
vocational nurses who care for Texans every day in hospitals, in |
|
|
nursing homes, through home health agencies, and in other settings |
|
|
are critical to the quality of health care in our state; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Nurses are consistently rated by national polls as |
|
|
among the highest ranking professionals in honesty and ethics, and |
|
|
they are indeed deserving of our respect and admiration; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize March 3, 2009, as Nurse Day at the |
|
|
State Capitol and commend all nurses in Texas for their invaluable |
|
|
service to the state. |
